Peter’s guiding principle is one of recognising the individuality of each and every coachee, and adapting his skills, techniques and approach accordingly. He loves coaching people from all types of backgrounds, fed by his own multi-cultural upbringing, a fascination with world-wide cultures and a passion for travel.
He is also a strong believer in continuous personal growth, and approaches his coaching with a view to continually developing his own learning, trying new and different approaches to help best deliver an optimum coaching experience for his clients. This includes introducing discussions about the wider impacts that clients’ leadership could have, based on a strong value set anchored in the aims of fairness in the wider community.
Peter has a calm and encouraging style, inspiring individuals to develop new, personal and contextual insights to fulfil untapped leadership potential. He develops high trust relationships, enabling coachees to fully focus on their own values and beliefs and how that impacts their leadership. This in turn facilitates appropriate balance between often needed challenge, with support and motivation. He is able to skilfully implement a wide range of tools and questioning techniques, to steer clients to impactful and meaningful actions and behaviours in their organisational setting.
Peter held senior director roles with Kraft Foods, with over 20 years’ international achievement in Marketing, R+D and Business Development. As Global Category Director he succeeded in highly complex leadership roles with both internal and external multi-functional and multi-cultural teams.
Having experienced the transformational power that coaching can bring, Peter become a coach and facilitator. For the past 15 years, he has directed his passion to the professional coaching of teams and individuals in all corners of the world – across the UK and Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and the US.
He has also used his skills in Non-executive Director roles in charities and the NHS, and brings a powerful, performance enhancing, coaching mindset in these roles. He was Chairman at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a major, two hospital acute organisation, for nearly 6 years, including the pandemic until April 2022.
